 Starting January 1, 2007 the minimum salary of Armenian citizens will comprise 20 thousand drams, increasing with 5 thousand drams as compared to 2006. Ra Minister of Labor and Social Issues Aghvan Vardanyan said in the National Assembly today that by the year 2009 the minimum salary in Armenia will reach 30 thousand drams

EU-Turkey talks on the Cyprus issue suspended |

 The talks between the European Union and Turkey on the Cyprus issue have been suspended without adoption of any agreement, the Foreign Minister of Finland Erkki Tuomioja informs.
The EU representatives have already declared that the deadlock of the talks can result in the failure of Turkey to join the European Union. The EU anticipates that before December 6 Turkey will open its ports for Cyprian ships
