The Court of Appeals has returned a verdict on Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan’s measure of restraint, under which the latter will be detained.
The Court thus upheld the ruling of the Court of First Instance.
“Our appeal was rejected. The ruling of the First Instance Court was left unchanged. Detention will be chosen as measure of restraint,” Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan told reporters.
Robert Kocharyan is charged with overthrowing constitutional order during the March 1 unrest that followed the 2008 presidential elections.
