Turkey’s chief prosecutor has issued an arrest warrant for a former CIA officer, Graham Fuller, the BBC reports.
The prosecutor accuses Mr Fuller, former vice-chair of the US National Intelligence Council, of having links to Fethullah Gulen, the Muslim cleric blamed by Turkey for last year’s failed coup attempt.
The warrant accuses Mr Fuller of “attempting to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey.”
Mr Gulen lives in exile in the US. Turkey says the Gulen network orchestrated the coup attempt by military officers. He denies the charge.
