Armenia is in talks with Gazprom Company on the reduction of gas tariff for Armenia, acting Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Garegin Baghramyan told reporters today.
He said negotiations are under way, but refrained from providing any details “not to damage harm the process.”
He added that negotiations are being carried out both with Gazprom and the Russian Energy Ministry.
By the decision of the Armenian Public Services Regulatory Commission of May 31, 2016 s the price of gas was set at 146.700 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters for consumers using up to 10 thousand cubic meters.
Consumers using 10 thousand cubic meters or more pay an equivalent of $256.56 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas.
The prices were applied from July 1, 2016.
