The issue of stamp is devoted to the memory of the perished Russian officers in the Russian -Turkish wars in the 19th century. According to the historian Rafik Tadevosyan, Turkey tries to win points and the Armenians must do their best not to allow Turkey to gain the points on its account.

Yesterday, Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Assumption of the Mother of God. It is the fourth holiday from the 5 Christian holidays of the Armenian Church. The Mother of God is the loveliest Saint in the Armenian Church. This holiday is special, as it is accompanied with the ritual of blessing the grape. Just after the holy mass the grape blessing ceremony begins, giving start to eating grape. The whole harvest of the year is being blessed. People make blessed wine from this blessed grape and keep it till the next grape blessing day as the sign of abundance.
